Terms & Conditions


These Terms & Conditions are in place to ensure a safe, positive and professional environment for all dancers, families and staff at Adele’s Dance Academy (ADA). They outline our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us. By enrolling your child at ADA, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the following terms.

ADA reserves the right to update or amend these terms when necessary. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review them regularly. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the ADA team.


1. Fees & Payments

1.1 All class fees are payable monthly in advance and must be paid via subscription to secure and maintain your child’s place in class.

1.2 ClassForKids (C4K) is ADA’s only accepted registration and payment platform. We do not accept cash, cheques, BACS transfers or ad-hoc payments.

1.3 Monthly fees are collected automatically on the 1st of each month from the account registered on ClassForKids.

1.4 Failure to make payment on time may result in suspension or loss of your child’s class place. If you experience payment difficulties, please contact ADA as soon as possible so support can be discussed.

1.5 Fees are calculated on a pro-rata basis across the year and account for scheduled holiday closures. Full details are provided at enrolment.

1.6 Fees are reviewed annually. Any changes to pricing or collection dates will be communicated in advance via email.

1.7 All class fees, event fees and additional payments are non-refundable, including absences and missed classes.

1.8 Competition dancers fees are still payable for days girls are attending competitions or events.


2. Cancellation & Withdrawal

2.1 A minimum of one month’s written notice is required to cancel a class. Notice must be submitted by email to:

2.2 Fees remain payable during the notice period.

2.3 Missed or unattended classes are not refundable or transferable.


3. Uniform, Dress Code & Appearance

3.1 ADA uniform or all-black dancewear must be worn to every class unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Appropriate footwear (e.g. ballet or jazz shoes) is compulsory for all sessions.

3.3 Hair must be securely tied back for safety and presentation.

3.4 Jewellery and accessories are not permitted during classes.

3.5 ADA-branded merchandise may be offered throughout the year. Items will only be ordered once full payment has been received. Please note that all orders once placed are Non- refundable.

3.6 Dancers taking part in performances or competitions may be required to purchase or hire costumes, attend additional rehearsals, and purchase tickets. These incur additional costs and are optional unless otherwise stated.


4. Classes, Safety & Performances

4.1 ADA aims to provide high-quality dance training in a supportive yet disciplined environment. Persistent disruptive behaviour may result in warnings and parental consultation.

4.2 For safeguarding and promotional purposes, photos and videos may be taken during classes or events. If you do not consent to your child appearing in promotional material, this must be submitted in writing.

4.3 Professional filming may take place at performances. Personal photography or recording may be restricted.

4.4 The use of mobile phones to record other students without permission is strictly prohibited. Any such behaviour will be addressed immediately.

4.5 ADA cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings. Valuables should not be brought to class and all items should be clearly labelled.

4.6 Children will only be released to a parent or authorised guardian unless prior arrangements have been made.

4.7 While every effort is made to ensure safety, dance is a physical activity and carries an element of risk. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept this risk. Higher-risk classes such as competition training or acrobatics require additional awareness due to their nature.

4.8 Parents must inform ADA if they are running late for collection.

4.9 Any changes to class enrolment (adding or dropping classes) must be confirmed in writing and updated via ClassForKids.


5. Behaviour & Conduct

5.1 ADA maintains a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment or aggressive behaviour.

5.2 Students are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and fellow dancers at all times.

5.3 Parents and guardians are also expected to communicate respectfully with staff. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

5.4 Ongoing behavioural issues from a student or parent may result in suspension or termination of enrolment.


6. Medical Information & Communication

6.1 All medical conditions must be disclosed at registration and updated as required. This is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

6.2 ADA communicates important information primarily via email and official social media platforms. Parents are responsible for checking messages, including junk/spam folders.

6.3 Physical guidance may be required during dance instruction. All contact is carried out professionally and in line with safeguarding policies.

6.4 If a class or event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond ADA’s control, fees remain non-refundable.

6.5 Participation in shows, competitions and events is optional unless otherwise stated.
